The UF (User-Friendly) Seal of Approval is a registered trademark intended to correct the problems brought on by the misuse of the international symbol(s) of access. Designed to be a stand alone icon and used in 'point of purchase' marketing, the UF Rating System icon is part of a simple, easy to use, accessibility color rating system which represents a facility's participation with our standardized assessment program. Here is how it works...

The UF symbol represents our unique system which utilizes the 3 primary symbols of access and a color rating application, to best reflect the level of accessibility, convenience, comfort, and the user-friendly appeal of a facility... to everyone.

Through on-site evaluations our trained accessibility professionals perform in-depth barrier free appraisals. Easily recognized by people with disabilities, as well as the "maturing market" and the public in general, this easy to understand system provides everyone a reference tool which minimizes the guesswork and allows consumers to make more educated and informed choices.

This simple system of marketing communications speaks directly to the public and is the most informative, efficient, and cost effective means for advertising and disseminating this important information to all U.S. travelers and vacationers.

As a program participant, a facility may display the UF icon in all forms of marketing media. Most notably, whether linked internally to a particular facilities' website, or otherwise linked to the UF Travel Guide website, (now in production), potential patrons are provided easy access to the user-friendly information they seek.

Ability is often limited, not by a person's disability... but
by the failure of others to understand.
